What do we need?

We need JAVASCRIPT FRONTEND DEVELOPERS. Is that you?

What are we looking for?

A FrontEnd engineer, with at least 2 years of experience in Javascript.

It is mandatory to have proved experience in JS frameworks such as Angular JS, Angular 2+ or similar.

Someone with knowledge in Databases (we do not need a DBA, but someone who can deal with DB). We will take very much in account knowledge and experience in MySQL and NoSQL databases too.

We obviously will require a decent English language level, we do not need a native language speaker, but we expect someone who can easily interact in chats, calls and e-mails (assessments may happen!).

What are we looking for?

A BackEnd Java J2EE Developer with at least a couple of years of experience. We are looking for Junior and Mid-Senior candidates with knowledge in Spring Framework, Hibernate, TDD and clean code (specially this last one).

Someone with knowledge in Databases (we do not need a DBA, but someone who can deal with DB). We will take very much in account knowledge and experience in MySQL and NoSQL databases too.

What are we looking for?

A Data analyst with at least 2 years of experience.

Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities.

They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements:

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
    Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
    Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

This role involves working across several of Valora’s high profile global clients, fulfilling live sports delivery through Valora content delivery service.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for driving new client partnerships, fully account managing new clients, on-boarding, booking, co-ordination and delivery of our services to our clients. This will be achieved by effective day to day communication with both clients and internal Valora team, working collaboratively to ensure our services and content is distributed whilst ensuring commercial value is maximized. The ability to drive revenue and growth is also a fundamental aspect of the role. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE? KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Day to day operational and account management point of contact for Valora clients, including coordination/booking/client liaison of upcoming live sports events content.
  • Work closely with internal teams, assisting with responses to client requests and providing solutions where required.
  • Analysing and reporting on KPI’s and SLA’s as per contractual agreements.
  • Work with the senior Valora commercial team to identify business development opportunities and drive new client partnerships
  • Investigate and manage any issues (Issue resolution) and work with internal teams to provide feedback and issue-based communication to clients.
  • Constantly strive to improve operational effectiveness including any internal workflows.
  • Work with the commercial team to develop new revenue opportunities.

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?

3+ years’ experience in an account management/ client facing environment, preferably in the sports or media space

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and able to communicate with all seniority levels

Highly motivated and able to work to deadlines

Strong interest and understanding of the sports content & distribution landscape (to both digital & broadcast clients)

Ability to work both independently and contribute in a team environment whilst having a strong commercial awareness & understanding

SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

The Business Intelligence & Insights Manager will play a critical role in data-related initiatives across Valora Digital and will lead the team into a more data-driven future. You will lead the execution of our Business Intelligence efforts, working closely with the Data product and technology teams to define requirements that will facilitate the creation of front-end insights & intelligence reporting. The Business Intelligence & Insights Manager will liaise with key stakeholders (fan-data, product, audience development, editorial, commercial and finance) to ensure all business requirements are captured and translated into actionable dashboards and reports.

In addition to leading core BI project initiatives, the Business Intelligence & Insights Manager will also identify as well as set up the long-term tools, technology, and processes required to leverage data more broadly in order to deliver better and smarter products. You will establish a structured methodology for A/B and Multi-Variate testing and manage the testing lifecycle across each of our Products (Widgets, microsites and API).  The Business Intelligence & Insights Manager will provide support to the other members of the Analytics team to deliver product-focused analysis, insights, and recommendations across all Perform Media products to drive traffic, commercial, and other business KPIs.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset as well as a baseline level of technical proficiency, particularly as it relates to data integration. You will excel at executing strategy based on learnings and insights.  You are creative and driven by the opportunity to develop and test new ideas, and will help define advanced data analysis techniques (data mining, machine learning) that can be employed moving forward and will help drive the data-driven future of Valora Digital.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE? KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Manage the Business Intelligence reporting project, defining requirements with the backend Data product and technology teams, collaborating with stakeholders on business needs, and managing consultancy group executing on the dashboards.
  • Identify data integration opportunities outside of the core big data infrastructure, ensuring all relevant data sources are connected as required to produce relevant insight and leverage data.
  • Define, run, and analyze A/B tests and vendor trials across the portfolio to determine effectiveness and inform product decisions.
  • Provide support on the data platforms and drive integrations of the data applications with products to enable content personalization, look-a-like targeting, and other applications.
  • Support the Product team by delivering deep product-level analysis, insights, data related solutions, and recommendations.
  • Deliver insights and help inform key business decisions, including allocation of marketing spend, editorial content strategy, and identifying additional commercial opportunities.
  • Create a structure to produce User and Product-centric insight and intelligence using data modeling techniques.
  • Create advanced fan-data analysis plan for Valora Digital, identifying where data mining and machine learning can be used to systematically drive insights.

THESE ARE THE VALORA COMPETENCIES YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED IN YOUR ROLE….

  • Degree equivalency in statistics or mathematics
  • 3-5+ Years experience in a business intelligence/analytics role
  • Experience implementing and establishing the usage of BI tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong proficiency with data visualization
  • Proficiency in managing, analyzing, and modeling large volumes of data
  • Strong project management skills and ability to connect various stakeholders as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of relational databases and familiarity with data query techniques
  • Experience implementing a structure for, and executing on, A/B and Multi-Variate tests
